High School English Teacher
West Michigan Aviation Academy is currently seeking a High School English Teacher.
Must have teacher certification and endorsement.

Job Description
As a High School English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in developing students' understanding and appreciation of English language and literature. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and capable of engaging students in dynamic and effective learning experiences. You will be responsible for creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress in accordance with school standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative classroom environment that encourages student interaction and supports individual learning needs.
Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of progress.
Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of classic and contemporary literary works.
Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure all students grasp curriculum concepts.
Prepare students for standardized assessments and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in extracurricular activities to support the school community and its mission.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification/license for the relevant state.
Experience in teaching high school students is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of English language and literature.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
